As a separate legal entity from the Diocese of El Paso, the Catholic Foundation is not affected by the recent reorganization of the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso. We remain committed to our core purpose of raising funds necessary to sustain the parishes, schools, ministries, and charities that continue the teachings of Jesus Christ in our Diocese. All monies raised through the Catholic Foundation are only used for the parishes, programs, services, and ministries for which they are designated. No gifts are used to satisfy legal fees or settlement costs associated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s reorganization.

Now more than ever, we are counting on the community to help us fulfill that mission. Our hearts and prayers remain with the victims and their families.

Preparing for the final stages of your life is never easy, but with guidance, it can be a positive experience for you and your family. It is a good opportunity to reflect on what is important for your legacy and to make arrangements that honor your wishes.

A panel of experts in end-of-life care, law, finance, and Catholic teaching will co-present at the End of Life Seminar on Thursday, May 21st at St. Joseph Parish Auditorium located at 1300 Lamar Street. During this seminar, you will learn about end-of-life decisions, funerals, wills, trusts, and estate planning for Catholics. The evening will end with a Q&A session for any remaining questions, and participants will take home free resources. Even if you already have a will or trust, you will learn something new!

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for registration and refreshments, and the seminar is 6-8 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
