This fund is intended to support the Catholic Counseling Services Ministry. The Catholic Counseling Services, Inc. has been a ministry for the Diocese of El Paso since 1938. It started out as Catholic Social Services and has undergone several name changes and programs as well. This ministry has been recognized as a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization since 1941.
Catholic Counseling Services, Inc. provides services to the poor and troubled of the Diocese of El Paso regardless of religion, sex, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. This in accordance with the Gospel of Matthew 25: 40, “The King will answer them: I assure you, as often as you did it for one of my least brothers, you did it for me.” This ministry has been active since 1938. This ministry serves over 1,000 parishioners a year helping them cope with addiction, co-dependency, marital issues, parent- child issues, depression, sexual abuse victims, just to name a few.
