As a separate legal entity from the Diocese of El Paso, the Catholic Foundation is not affected by the recent reorganization of the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso. We remain committed to our core purpose of raising funds necessary to sustain the parishes, schools, ministries, and charities that continue the teachings of Jesus Christ in our Diocese. All monies raised through the Catholic Foundation are only used for the parishes, programs, services, and ministries for which they are designated. No gifts are used to satisfy legal fees or settlement costs associated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of El Paso’s reorganization.

Now more than ever, we are counting on the community to help us fulfill our mission. Our hearts and prayers remain with the victims and their families.

There are moments in life when a simple message can renew our faith, restore our hope, and remind us that God has a purpose for each of us. That is the gift Paul J. Kim has shared with thousands of Catholics through his ministry of faith, music, and storytelling.

The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of El Paso is honored to welcome nationally recognized Catholic speaker, musician, and evangelist Paul J. Kim as the keynote speaker for its 20th Annual Foundation of Faith Event: A Legacy of Faithfullness on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

Raised in California by Korean immigrant parents, Paul understands the challenges of living one’s faith in today’s world. Through humor, authentic personal stories, music, and practical wisdom, he encourages audiences to embrace God’s call with confidence and joy. One of his most memorable messages reminds us, “We don’t have to change to come to God, coming to God Changes us.” His words inspire people of all ages to trust in God’s plan and live the Gospel with courage.

As the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of El Paso celebrates its 25th Anniversary, Paul’s message beautifully reflects the Foundation’s mission of faith, generosity, and stewardship. For twenty-five years, the Foundation has partnered with generous benefactors to create lasting legacies that support Catholic ministries, parishes, schools, seminarians, and charitable outreach throughout the Diocese of El Paso.

The evening will also honor Sister Maria De Jesus Munguia, SSHP, recipient of the 2026 Dei Gratia Award, for her lifelong dedication and faithful service to the Church and people of the Diocese. Her life is a beautiful witness that the greatest educators do more than teach—they inspire faith, transform lives, and lead others to Christ. Her extraordinary legacy will continue to live on in the thousands of students, families, and communities she has touched through a lifetime of faithful service.
