Take This Time To Draw God
Take This Time To Draw God

How will you draw God? The Foundation’s Stewardship Program and Karen Kiefer, author of the children’s book Drawing God, invite the Catholic community to draw God this Lent and share your drawings with us.

Stewardship Coordinator Karina Sandoval was inspired by the author, also the director of the The Church in the 21st Century Center at Boston College, because she wrote the book to invite readers to think and talk about how and where people see God. It started when Kiefer overheard a conversation in the grocery between two young boys and their father. The kids told their father not to talk about God with people because it makes them feel uncomfortable. The author prayed and ask God how she could help people talk about God and the idea was born. The book’s target audience is children but it can inspire anyone who wants to express their faith through imagination.

Our stewardship coordinator invites the Catholic community to use your talents and to ask your children, grandchildren, parents, religious formation participants, friends, classmates, schools and co-workers to draw God and share the pictures with the Foundation. Pictures will be posted on the Foundation’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and at the Virtual Drawing God Museum.

Now, show us your inner Picasso! Submit your drawings to Stewardship Coordinator Karina Sandoval at ksandoval@elpasodiocese.org by Friday, April 17. For more information, please contact Karina at the Foundation for the Diocese of El Paso at 915-872-8412.
