Contributions of prayer, service, and giving to Diocesan Migrant & Refugee Services (DMRS) continue to make vital work possible. This is a special invitation to be a part of something that begins today and will have an impact for generations to come.
The Catholic Foundation manages the DMRS Endowment Fund, a permanent endowed fund established by the organization to continue to provide a comprehensive range of services to the community. We’re on a mission to grow their permanent endowed fund to $1 million in 2022.
DMRS opened its doors in 1986. A ministry of the Catholic Diocese of El Paso, DMRS is the only full-service immigration legal aid clinic serving low-income immigrants and refugees residing in the southwestern United States. DMRS provides vital legal representation to foreign born priests, newly ordained priests who were not born in the United States, and religious workers who wish to serve in the Diocese of El Paso.
How can I contribute?
The Catholic Foundation accepts gifts and pledges of cash, current assets, and planned gifts, including life insurance, charitable gift annuities, gifts of stock, retirement plans, property, and charitable remainder trusts.
There is no minimum requirement to contribute to the existing DMRS endowed fund AND you can create your legacy by naming a fund in the DMRS fund with a gift of $10,000 or more. Gifts of any size are welcome and essential to the DMRS mission.
How often will DMRS receive a distribution?
On an annual basis in perpetuity…forever.
