What to Expect at the 10th Annual Foundation of Faith Dinner: Grace Before Meals

The 10th Annual Foundation of Faith Dinner: Grace Before Meals will be a night to remember. Join us on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at the El Paso Convention Center from 6-9pm, with a cocktail reception beginning at 5pm.

The evening includes delicious appetizers during the cocktail hour created for this event by Chef Carlos ~ crispy spring rolls, jumbo prawns in chili oyster sauce, coconut chicken salad on endive spears, adobo braised beef tenderloin crostinis, and vegetarian options ~ and a no-host bar, dinner with wine, the Dei Gratia Award presentation, an exciting live auction, and our keynote speaker, the dynamic Father Leo Patalinghug.

Donors who attended the 9th Annual Foundation of Faith Dinner amazed us all by contributing over $50,000 during a live auction led by Victoria Pineda. We have great live auction packages again this year, including a hiking excursion for 4 plus Bishop Seitz, an El Paso Chihuahuas suite on the Wooftop, a trip to Costa Rica, a beautiful white and rose gold cross from Johnson Jewelers, and much more!

Want to meet Fr. Leo and ask him questions?! Become a $2,500 sponsor and higher and you and your guests will get to meet him at an exclusive cooking class and dinner at a private home on Wednesday, September 21 at 6pm. Deadline to get your name in the program is September 17.

Leroy & Rose Baeza will be honored as the 2nd recipients of the Dei Gratia Award during the Dinner. Leroy is a founding board member of the Catholic Foundation and has served God faithfully alongside his wife, Rose, through committed volunteer service in El Paso, Ft. Davis, and all of West Texas. Leroy and Rose have been married for 56 years. The Dei Gratia Award, Latin for “By the Grace of God”, recognizes an individual, couple, or organization for their servant leadership, outstanding contribution to the Diocese of El Paso and our Catholic community, and their dedication to being good stewards of God’s grace.

On Thursday, September 22 at 8:15 a.m., Fr. Leo will concelebrate a public youth mass at St. Raphael Parish with Bishop Mark J. Seitz and Fr. Tony Celino. Coffee, pastries, and a book signing will follow. All are welcome!

Fr. Leo Patalinghug is the founder, host, and director of Grace Before Meals, the host for the TV Show Savoring our Faith on EWTN, Co-Host for the radio show _Entertaining Truth_on Sirius XM Radio, bestselling author, and contributor for newspaper and magazine. Fr. Leo has been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and the Food Network, where he defeated a world famous chef in a cooking competition called, “Throw Down! with Bobby Flay.” His message combines faithful Catholic theology presented in a way that everyone can understand and appreciate.

Cocktail hour begins at 5pm. Dinner starts promptly at 6. Event ends at 9. Fr. Leo will sign books after the dinner.
